European Studies

Core issues to discuss are social models of European societies, inequalities in the comparative context of Europe, conflicts and consolidation based on values, identities, and their specifics in the European social space in order to focus on the social context of European societies based on sociological research, to broad the perspective of comparative analysis of Europe and apply sociological data analysis skills to formulate and check the hypothesis on typology and ways of European societies development. Differences, features and common characteristics of western, southern, northern and central-eastern Europe are in the focus of analysis according to comparative sociological studies in Europe. The ability to comparative analysis of sociological and statistical data on modern social processes in Europe is provided by creative analytical tasks, tasks for critical thinking, individual and group work during the semester.
