The Learned Society of Students of the Faculty of Sociology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (LSS) is a self-governing voluntary association of undergraduate and graduate students of the faculty. The main goal of our activity is to promote scientific and creative development of students.
We strive to popularize the science of sociology and to develop it at our faculty in every possible way. LSS aims at innovative activities based on creativity and scientific thinking.

Our Society is a direct heir of the Ukrainian Scientific Student Association of St. Volodymyr University (1918) and Scientific Student Society of Kyiv State University (1935). LSS acts both independently and in cooperation with other student government bodies of the faculty, faculty administration, state bodies, public organizations and other stakeholders.
